Bake chocolate hamantashen with Daria
The holiday of Purim without hamantashen - the triangle shaped cookies stuffed with sweet filling - would only be half a Purim!
Join us to bake the cookies together on February 18th, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.!
Our meeting will be led by Daria Zmiejewa, a seasoned hamantashen maker!

You will need:
Equipment
- kitchen scale
- for measuring: a cup, a quarter cup, table spoon and half a tea spoon
- large bowl
- cling film to cover the dough
- a pot with a cover
- fine grater (zester)
- whisk
- dough roller
- roung cookie cutter â 7-8 cm
- baking tray
- baking paper
- tea spoon
- table spoon
Ingredients
Dough:
- 500g wheat flour (+some more to keep everything from sticking to each other)
- 0.5 tea spoon of baking powder
- 0.5 tea spoon of salt
- 4 table spoons of sugar
- 250g soft margarine (80% fat)
- 0.25 cup cold water
Chocolate filling:
- 250g of dates
- 2 oranges
- 1-2 tea spoons of cardamon
- about 1 cup of water
- 100g of dark chocolate
